Choose Your Pathway to the Classroom

You earn both your bachelor’s degree and your Washington state teacher certificate.

If you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, you can earn an elementary teaching certification or a secondary certification in an endorsable content area such as math, science, English Language Arts (ELA), and history.

If you already hold a bachelor’s degree, you can complete your Washington state teacher certificate at the graduate level via Whitworth Online and then transfer those credits into Whitworth’s M.Ed. degree program.

Advance Your Career, Your Way

Whether you're earning a bachelor's degree or adding certification to an existing degree, Whitworth offers flexible pathways that prepare you for Washington State licensure.

"It has been 21 years since I have been in college, and it would not have been possible to go back to school if it wasn’t for the online format at Whitworth. Their online format has allowed me the flexibility to take classes online at home instead of having to go to campus. This format has made it possible for me to go back to school and still work full time, be a wife, and a mother of two young children."
