How to Submit a Whitworth Online Program Application

A Step-by-Step Guide

The Whitworth Online application process is both straightforward and convenient.
Here is a step-by-step guide to help you get started.

Submit your Quick App for initial review. It only takes five minutes, and you can include unofficial transcripts to get the process started. If you have earned college credit already, upload your unofficial transcripts to your application or email them to online@whitworth.edu

Order official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended. If you have not earned at least 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university, you will need to submit a transcript from your high school. If you need help ordering transcripts, let us know, and one of our advisors will assist you. Have all official transcripts sent to Whitworth Online  (online@whitworth.edu) or by mail to:

Whitworth University
Whitworth Online
300 W. Hawthorne Road
Spokane, WA 99251

Apply for financial aid. If you intend to use financial aid, first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible. You can apply online. The Whitworth Title IV Code is: 003804.

The admissions requirements are as follows.

There is no application fee.

  • You should be a working adult, defined as 23 years or older and employed or performing care-taking duties. (If you do not meet this criteria, please see the section below on requesting an exception.)
  • Transcripts: Unofficial transcripts are allowed for application submission. To register you as a student and for you to qualify for financial aid, we require official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have previously attended.
  • International students: Because Whitworth’s adult education programs are offered part time, international students are ineligible to apply. We hope you’ll explore Whitworth’s full-time program admissions.

Supplemental Requirements

Requesting an Exception to Admissions Criteria

A key part of Whitworth’s online degree programs for working adults is that each student contributes to a collaborative learning environment by sharing knowledge gained through experience. If you are under the age of 23 or are not currently employed, you can still be considered for full admission, with the following supplemental materials:

  • Transcripts that demonstrate substantial previous college experience (typically completion of an A.A. or A.A.S degree, or the accumulation of at least 24 semester credits).
  • A résumé that demonstrates two years of employment history.

If you are not able to provide these additional application materials, you may still be considered for provisional admissions status. Please contact online@whitworth.edu for assistance.
